Makita Philippines successfully conducted a meaningful community empowerment program in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas at Florencia A. Masilungan Memorial Elementary School in Brgy. Mojon-Tampoy, San Jose, Batangas. Held on November 15, 2025, the initiative called Project H.O.P.E. (Handcrafted Opportunities, Promoting Empowerment) aimed to provide practical and livelihood-ready skills to members of the local community.
The event featured hands-on skills training workshops, led by the Makita and SOS teams, designed to equip participants with knowledge they can use for future opportunities. As part of Makita’s ongoing CSR initiatives and commitment to education, the program emphasized building confidence, improving technical capabilities, and inspiring long-term self-sufficiency among residents.
Beyond the training sessions, the activity also included a dedicated program for children, ensuring a day filled with learning, play, and meaningful interaction. The youth empowerment activities brought smiles and excitement, reinforcing Makita’s mission to support not just workers and families, but also the next generation of Filipinos.
Makita Philippines extends its gratitude to SOS Children’s Villages and all community partners who helped bring Project H.O.P.E. to life. The company remains committed to continuing impactful projects that uplift communities, promote education, and deliver sustainable change across the Philippines.
