CLK Supertools Depot, Inc. formerly Mayon Construction Supply, dates its roots back to 1957 when it was founded by Mr. Chua Liong Kue and his partners. Initially dealing in various construction supplies and general hardware items.
In 1968, Mayon Construction Supply began selling Makita brand power tools, followed by the distribution and manufacture of fanbelts of the Beltman brand. In 1973, Makita appointed Mayon Construction Supply as the exclusive distributor for the Philippines. Mayon Construction Supply was also the distributor for Hinoki Woodworking Machinery from 1975 to 1983.

CLK Supertools Depot Inc. continues to exclusively distribute the Makita brand of power tools in the Philippines. Our goal is to provide the most innovative, dependable and top-quality tool solutions in the market and we are committed to continually improving the level and quality of service that we provide to all our clients and dealers nationwide.

COMPANY HISTORY

Mayon Construction Supply (now CLK Supertools Depot), dates its roots back to 1957 when it debuted into the trading industry. It initially engaged in the business of hardware, industrial supplies and power tools with brands including Milwaukee, Miller Falls, Mitsubishi and Black & Decker. In the 70’s, the company integrated the manufacturing and distribution of the Beltman brand of fan belts. In 1973, the company was offered by MAKITA ELECTRIC WORKS (Japan) to be the sole distributor of MAKITA power tools in the Philippines. At the time, the market for MAKITA POWER TOOLS was so small that annual sales seldom reached 100 units. However, Mayon Construction accepted the challenge and slowly made the MAKITA brand a household name. Mayon’s accomplishments not only delighted our Japanese supplier but also caught the attention of several other manufacturer of woodworking and metalworking machines. One of these was HINOKI woodworking machinery which offered exclusive distributorship to CLK Supertools Depot Inc. (Mayon Construction Supply) from 1975 until 1983- when HINOKI finally decided to establish its own subsidiary in the Philippines.
